Dr. POPO is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Pusan National University in South Korea (yes, pretty amazing) but his creativity extends far beyond the operating room. With a keen appreciation for aesthetics, he found himself drawn to the world of AI video creation. His work focuses on smooth, immersive storytelling and the use of repetition and symmetry, elements that are just as important in his videos as they are in his medical practice.

Dr. POPO is one of only a few AI Artists in South Korea and he is driven by unrelenting curiosity and a “just do it” attitude. He lives by three simple rules: “don’t regret the past,” “don’t compare yourself to others,” and “reflect deeply, but don’t overthink it.” He acts on ideas quickly, even if they seem out of the ordinary. While some around him were initially skeptical, his wife’s constant support has been a rock, reminding him to keep pushing forward.

For Dr. POPO, the real magic happens when he listens to music and transforms the images that come to mind into video form. He believes that this year marks a turning point, where AI art will not only overtake traditional drawing styles but become the mainstream for the next hundred years.
