Florian is a director, AI artist, and storyteller based in Bonn, Germany, where he lives with his wife and two sons. With a background in advertising, he spent over a decade as a Creative Director at global agencies, crafting successful international campaigns before transitioning to filmmaking. His work spans commercials, documentaries, virals, and webisodes, always driven by a passion for storytelling that moves and inspires audiences.

Beyond film, Florian’s creative curiosity led him to explore new formats. His Twitter project, Tiny Tales, was awarded the prestigious Grimme Online Award and later became a best-selling book. In 2019, he transformed four of these micro-stories into short films for his MICRO MOVIES project, billed as the world’s shortest feature films, earning recognition across international festivals.

With the rise of AI tools, Florian embraced the technology as a new creative medium, generating AI-driven stills and films that expand the boundaries of visual storytelling. His AI-powered spec trailer for Sony PlayStation VR was a finalist in the Project Odyssey AI Film Awards, solidifying his position at the forefront of this evolving space.

At the heart of Florian’s work is a love for collaboration, meeting new people, exchanging ideas, and creating something extraordinary together. He finds inspiration in the world around him, from watching strangers and imagining their stories to long conversations over wine with his wife, a novelist who is both his toughest critic and greatest supporter.

Despite his fascination with AI, Florian remains deeply connected to traditional filmmaking and hopes for a future where real human creativity, both in front of and behind the camera, thrives alongside AI-driven innovation. He envisions a hybrid era where technology enhances storytelling without replacing its soul.

Florian is a member of the Art Directors Club of Germany and the German Commercial Film Academy.
